The morning began quietly, in a room above the old town, with the sound of trams below and the light coming in sideways through tall windows.
By the afternoon the ceremony had filled a Viennese palais with warm light and louder laughter than anyone expected. We stole twenty minutes at golden hour for portraits, then returned before anyone noticed we had gone.
The evening ran long, as the good ones do — candlelit tables, a first dance that turned into everybody dancing, and a last photograph taken well past midnight.
